First Slot (10.30-11.15am):

Option 1: Empowered Jewish Parenting with Rebbetzin Rivka Zeidman

In this course, we will be using Rabbi Shlomo Wolbe's framework for understanding parenting. We will look at tools to strengthen the parent-child relationship as well as communicate authority and discipline.

 

Option 2: The Art of Growth: A Mussar Approach to Elul with Rabbi Moshe Friedman

How are we meant to use Elul to prepare properly for the Teshuva of Yamim Nora'im? The mussar masters outlined several approaches to authentic and sustainable growth. This course will explore the teachers of Rav Yisrael Salanter, Rav Yerucham Levovitz and others.

Second Slot (11.30am-12.15pm):

Option 3: Hilchos Teshuva with Rabbi Daniel Rowe 

The Rambam's laws of Teshuvah are considered a classic in terms of understanding the process and dynamics of Teshuva, the roles of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur and the process of personal change. This course explores the text and word choice of the Rambam to delve deeper into the work.

 

Option 4: Rosh Hashana- A Sign of the Times with Rebbetzin Ilana Epstein

Judaism is a religion rich in symbolism. In this course we will explore the most ubiquitous of Jewish symbols, their origin and history. Understanding the Rosh Hashana symbols will enhance our celebration of the New Year to come.

Option 1: Rosh Hashana: Conception to Birth Through the Eyes of the Matriarchs with Rebbetzin Shira Jackson 

Explore the parallel lives of three of our matriarchs as they embark on the journey towards parenthood. How do their challenges help us better understand the pivotal role we play in the grand scheme of creation? This course will help us tap into that creative energy on Rosh Hashana.

Option 2: The Philosophy of Altruism with Rabbi Avrohom Zeidman 

This course delves into how to become an all-encompassing giver. Based on the writings of Rabbi Dessler this course incorporates philosophy, psychology, kabbalah, Jewish ethics and practical application.

Option 3: Shivim Panim Le'elul with Rebbetzin Shalvie Friedman 

Exploring the month of teshuva through the lenses of multiple hashkafos including Rav Kook, Rav Soloveitchik, The Alter of Slobodka, and the world of chassidus.

Option 4: Powerful Prayers - Infusing Meaning into our RH & YK Tefillah with Rabbi Yonoson Roodyn 

This course will explore the Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur Davening with an in-depth look at the meaning of the machzor.
