Polling day: Thursday 2 May 2024, from 7am to 10pm.
Who can vote
To vote in the Mayor of London and London Assembly elections you must:
be registered to vote
live in London
be at least 18 years old on the day of the elections
be a British citizen, a European Union citizen or a Commonwealth citizen who has or does not require leave to remain in the UK

Voting by post
The deadline to register to vote by post is Wednesday 17 April 2024, by 5pm
We must receive your completed postal vote pack by 10pm on polling day.
Please ensure you post your postal vote in sufficient time so that it can be delivered by Royal Mail. You can also deliver it in person at any time up until 10pm on the day of the by-election to the Returning Officer at:

Apply for someone to vote on your behalf (proxy voting)
You must be registered to vote before you can apply to vote by proxy.
